#64 The Social Network

(2010, David Fincher)

“What’s on your mind?”

Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Armie Hammer & Max Minghella
Written by Ben Mezrich (book – The Accidental Millionaires) & Aaron Sorkin
Produced by Scott Rudin, Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca & Cean Chaffin
Music score by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross
Cinematography by Jeff Cronenweth
Edited by Kirk Baxter & Angus Wall

Favourite Scene: The “relationship status” realisation. Oddly seemed to be a real genius moment for both Zuckerberg and for the viewer familiar with Facebook
Scene That Bugged Me: In an example of the “Pac Man Fever” trope, we see two girls invited over by Sean Parker playing a video game. Parker offers them some bizarre advice that really doesn’t feel accurate. Once again Hollywood gets video games wrong! In a movie about a website no less!

Watch it if: You use Facebook
Avoid it if: You created Facebook
